Abstract

This paper reports the findings of a survey of the English language needs of CUHK graduates in 1992. They have been employed for several months in various sectors of the Hong Kong society. Their views on the use of English in the workplace can contribute to the development of the elective programme and the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) of the ELT Unit.
